Appeal after man shot dead in van

Potential witness Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses after the murder of a man who was shot dead as he sat in his van on a Merseyside industrial estate.

Stephen Lloyd, 25, was shot dead outside MWM Waste Services on Redfern Road in Bankhall, Bootle, on 13 July.

His van was later found burnt out on Bedford Road, at the junction of Kings Road in Bootle.

Police are keen to trace a potential witness captured on CCTV, who was wearing distinctive orange trousers.

It is believed he may have seen the van being abandoned.

He is described as white, about 6ft and was wearing luminous orange trousers and a blue top.

He was seen walking along Kings Road into Exeter Road.

Another witness spoke to him and it is believed he may be Eastern European.

Anyone who can help the police with their inquiries is urged to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
