Sunk ferry terminal at Pier Head Liverpool's famous ferries across the Mersey are out of action for a second day after the landing terminal sank.

Merseytravel says that its cross river service is suspended, with a limited service running on Friday.

River levels dropped causing part of the floating landing stage to fall into the water. Later on Thursday, the rest had disappeared into the Mersey.
