Motorcyclist killed in road crash

A motorcyclist has been killed after he collided with a car in Cheshire.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said the man's yellow Honda collided with a green Vauxhall Corsa, on Manchester Road, Rixton, near Warrington.

Police have not released the dead man's name but said he was aged 37 and came from Burscough, Lancashire.

The spokesman said road traffic officers are appealing for any witnesses to the accident, which happened on Thursday night.
