A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder earlier, said police.

Mr Manning, 21, of Bird Street, Higher Ince, appeared before Manchester Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has launched an investigation to establish what Greater Manchester Police officers knew before the incident.
