Council probes BNP lorry sticker

An investigation has been launched after a British National Party (BNP) sticker was displayed on a bin lorry.

The Salford Council inquiry was prompted when a national newspaper published a photograph of the lorry with the sticker on the windscreen.

"The council has clear rules against using council property to promote political parties in this way," environment councillor Joe Murphy said.

He declined to comment any further until an investigation was carried out.
