Two charged after cannabis raid

A man and woman have been charged after police found a cannabis farm at a house in Oldham.

Officers searched the house on St Johns Street in Wernerth on Monday and found about 300 cannabis plants and growing equipment inside.

Two people have since been charged with the production of cannabis and abstracting electricity.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said they were due to appear at Oldham Magistrates' Court later.
