Man charged over car park robbery

A man has been charged with robbing a 90-year-old deaf and partially-sighted woman in a supermarket car park in Greater Manchester.

The woman, who had her bag stolen, ran after her attacker at the Asda car park in Chadderton on New Year's Day.

A 23-year-old man from Chadderton was charged with robbing the woman, and an 86-year-old woman three days later in Dairy Street, Chadderton.

He appeared before Oldham magistrates and was remanded until next week.
