Funeral for fatally stabbed model

The funeral of a teenage model who died after being stabbed at her home in Greater Manchester is due to take place later.

Amy Leigh Barnes, 19, was found injured at her home in Farnworth, Bolton, on 8 November. She was taken to hospital but later died.

Post-mortem tests concluded Ms Barnes died from stab wounds.

Ricardo Morrison, 22, originally from Birmingham, has been charged with her murder and remanded in custody.

A 49-year-old female police officer serving with the West Midlands Police was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and bailed until 6 January.

Ms Barnes had modelled for several magazines and had appeared in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
