A 21-year-old mother has appeared in court charged with murdering her two young sons in Manchester.
Romario Mullings-Sewell, aged two, and his three-month-old brother, Delayno, were found stabbed to death at their home in Cheetham Hill last month.
Jael Mullings was bailed by magistrates until a hearing at Manchester Crown Court on 17 December.
Ms Mullings, who was sectioned under the Mental Health Act, must remain at Edenfield Hospital in Prestwich.
Police officers found the boys at a property in Kilmington Drive following reports of concern for the children's welfare.
A post-mortem examination revealed both boys died from a single stab wound to the chest.
After the deaths, it emerged officers had visited the house hours before discovering the boys' bodies.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating Greater Manchester Police's response.
Manchester City Council also announced an investigation into the contact between its children's services department and the family.
A funeral service is due to take place at St John's Church in Cheetham Hill at 1100 GMT on Thursday for the two boys.
