Three injured in electrical blast

Two women and a boy have been injured in a small explosion in a shopping street in Greater Manchester.

Emergency services were called to reports of the blast just outside Woolworths in Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, at 1115 GMT.

The three people suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

It was believed the small explosion was caused by an electrical fault and the scene was cordoned off.
