A man from Bolton who was believed to have appeared on YouTube handling two semi-automatic handguns has been sent to a young offenders' institute.
Anthony Horrocks was convicted of two counts of possessing a banned firearm and three counts of possessing ammunition at Manchester Crown Court.
The 20-year-old, of Brandwood Street, Daubhill, was sentenced to five years in a young offenders' institute.
Horrocks posted the video on the internet website on 29 December 2007.
The video showed Horrocks riding an unregistered motorbike along an alleyway.
Ammunition rounds
Later in the footage, a pair of unidentified gloved hands were seen handling two semi-automatic handguns and a loading magazine with what appeared to be bullets.
The court heard when that police raided Horrocks's home on 9 January, 200 rounds of ammunition were discovered.
Horrocks was arrested at a different address a short time later.
Det Con Dave Fox said: "Horrocks did not give a second thought to keeping these dangerous weapons at his home.
"Not only was he prepared to keep the guns, he posted footage, of what we believe to be him handling them, on the internet.
"This kind of action is completely unacceptable. Regardless of whether or not he intended to use the weapon."
