Thieves threaten to cut off ear

Robbers threatened to cut off a man's ear and stab him in the neck in a raid on a Stockport club.

Both the customer and landlord were slashed in the face during the raid at Heaton Norris Conservative Club.

They were attacked by two men armed with knives who forced their way into the bar on Thursday night.

The men, described by police as dangerous, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the till and the landlord's pockets.

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery at 2120 BST.

Det Con Marcus Ellaby, based at Stockport CID, said: "The two offenders we are looking for are clearly dangerous, opportunistic men who are prepared to use knives just to get their hands on some cash.

"The fact they actually used the knives to injure the victims shows they need to apprehended as soon as possible."

Both men were described as white and wearing balaclavas.
