A 23-year-old woman was indecently assaulted twice within the space of three days by the same man.
Both incidents took place on Ormskirk Road in Pemberton, Wigan, late on 1 October and on 3 October, Greater Manchester Police said.
The offender is described as white, about 5ft 4in (1.63m) tall and about 19 years old, with cropped hair.
He was wearing a Wigan Athletic FC top with dark bottoms and spoke with a Wigan accent.
Pc Lee Hughes said: "We do not know why this man targeted this woman, but she is understandably distressed that in the space of just 72 hours she has been indecently assaulted by this man twice.
"These sort of offences put the victim through unimaginable distress so it is vital we catch this man and take him off the streets."
Anyone with information about the incidents, which happened between 2000 BST and 2100 BST on both evenings, is asked to call the police.
