Man bailed in house murder probe

A 55-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the murder of a woman found dead at a house in Greater Manchester has been released on bail.

Emergency services were called to a house in Bradley Green Road, Hyde, on Wednesday night where police found the 52-year-old's body.

A murder investigation was launched and a post-mortem examination was carried out, but was inconclusive.

Inquiries into the circumstances and cause of the women's death are ongoing.

A 55-year-old man, from Hyde, was questioned by detectives on suspicion of murder.

He has been bailed until 29 September 2008 pending further inquiries, a Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said.
