Two young men have died in a reservoir in Greater Manchester.
Craig Finn and Lee Flanagan, who are both in their late teens, disappeared while swimming in Knott Hill reservoir in Ashton-under-Lyne on Monday.
Emergency services were alerted by a walker who saw the pair go under the water but fail to resurface.
Two bodies were later recovered by divers and a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) investigation into their deaths is under way.
The pair are believed to have got into difficulties while swimming at about 1600 BST.
Police and about 15 firefighters, including a specialist water search unit, were called to the scene to search for the pair.
A large section of the nature reserve was cordoned off by police and the bodies were eventually recovered at about 1915 BST.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said youngsters needed to heed warnings about the dangers of open water.
He said: "We want to warn people about the dangers of swimming in this kind of place - it may look safe, but there are dangers you might not be able to see and there is no supervision.
"In remote places like this, it can take a long time to get help, and for that help to arrive.
"In some water incidents, we only have a few minutes to save lives."
The reservoir, a local beauty spot, is next to Ashton-under-Lyne golf course, off the A670 Mossley Road.
