Police name motorway crash victim

A woman who died following a crash on a motorway in Manchester has been identified by police.

Muriel Owen, 76, was driving a Ford Fiesta that was in collision with a Peugeot 307 at junction six of the M60, near Sale Water Park, on Wednesday.

Mrs Owen was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital but later died from her injuries.

The driver of the second car suffered minor injuries. Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses.
