An arsonist could be responsible for a series of fires which have destroyed buildings and property, police say.
Ten fires have broken out in suspicious circumstances within about one mile of each other in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, since 11 February.
No-one has been injured but property including buildings, boats and cars have been badly damaged.
Neighbourhood Inspector Anthony Alogba said the attacks were causing a lot of concern in the community.
Suspicions were initially raised when a fire broke out on Grove Road at about 2000 BST on 7 March 2008, followed by another fire on the same road - at the same time - the following evening.
"We are working closely with the Fire Service and British Waterways to explore the possibility that these attacks could be linked," said Mr Alogba.
