Firefighters rescued a mother and baby from a stranded car as floods hit Greater Manchester.
The 34-year-old called crews to Lumns Lane, Pendlebury, after 1.3m (4ft) of water surrounded her vehicle, which broke down due to water damage.
Firefighters carried the woman and her child to safety before pushing the car off the flooded road on Monday.
A spokesman said other vehicles declined assistance and the road was later closed to traffic.
The River Irwell and the River Roch both burst their banks on Monday, but many flood alerts have been downgraded with drier conditions expected.
Animal rescue
However, the Metrolink tram service between Radcliffe and Bury has been suspended due to Monday's flooding.
Bus shuttle services will run between Whitefield and Radcliffe, and Whitefield and Manchester city centre.
Greater Manchester Fire Service said it received more than 50 calls relating to flooding on Monday.
Crews in Bury had to break in to a locked pub to gain access to a man stuck on a dinghy in Summerseat.
The brigade also rescued seven horses, along with three dogs and two chickens, from farmland on Kellett Street in Hamer, Rochdale.
