Funeral for woman killed on ward

Rosalind Kim McManus The funeral of a woman who was strangled at a hospital in Greater Manchester has taken place.

Rosalind Kim McManus, 58, a patient on the open psychiatric ward at Birch Hill Hospital in Rochdale, was found collapsed on a ward on 13 August.

Police were unable to trace any relatives of Ms McManus who was born in Northern Ireland. The funeral service took place at Rochdale Crematorium.

Telahum Tedola, 36, also a patient, has been charged with her murder.

At the time of her death, Ms McManus's home was in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

She voluntarily admitted herself to Birch Hill Hospital eight weeks before she was killed.
