Katona CCTV scoured after robbery

Kerry Katona Police are examining CCTV footage from the home of former pop star Kerry Katona after masked raiders held a knife to her throat.

The men broke into the home she shares with husband Mark Croft, 36, and daughter Heidi, five months, in Wilmslow on Sunday night.

A spokesman for Cheshire police said footage from security cameras would be scrutinised in the investigation.

None of the stolen property has yet been recovered.

Goods worth an estimated £150,000 were said to have been stolen, including jewellery, a BMW M5 and a 42-inch plasma screen television.

The gang, armed with sledgehammers and crowbars, got into the house shortly before midnight on Sunday and were in the property for about half an hour.

The former Atomic Kitten member and the couple's baby were kept in a downstairs room as the three-strong gang took Mr Croft around the house looking for things to steal.

Katona, 26, was named Celebrity Mum of Year in 2002 and 2005 and now writes about other celebrities in a magazine column.

Two years ago she starred in an ITV1 show called My Fair Kerry where she was taught deportment and etiquette to transform her from ladette to lady.
