Man in hospital after gang attack

Police A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following an assault in Greater Manchester.

The 34-year-old was out with friends on Barlow Moor Road when he was attacked by a gang of men close to Mauldeth Road West in Chorlton.

He suffered serious head injuries in the incident which took place in the early hours of Sunday.

Two men, aged 18 and 20, have been arrested by police who have appealed for information.
