A 31-year-old man has been arrested over the rape of a student in the Fallowfield area of Greater Manchester.

The 21-year-old woman was attacked in the early hours of 11 May after a night out celebrating the end of her exams.

She had just turned onto Whitby Road from Ladybarn Lane when she was dragged into an alleyway and attacked.

The man, who comes from the Fallowfield area, was arrested on suspicion of rape and was released on bail pending further enquiries until 25 June.
