The woman told a General Medical Council disciplinary hearing how Dr Raja Wannaku-Korale forced her to have sex during an examination.
The woman, then aged 29, said she had been "petrified" with fear during the alleged attack in April 2002.
Dr Wannaku-Korale, 65, of Eccles, Greater Manchester, denies serious professional misconduct.
The hearing was told that the GP had intercourse with the woman, identified as Ms C for legal reasons, after luring her to his home in Preston Close.
"I thought to myself 'He's going to put a needle in me and I'm not going home'"
Dr Wannaku-Korale has not attended any of the GMC Fitness to Practise Panel hearings, but sent an e-mail message saying he was in Sri Lanka and was too sick to travel.
He stood trial charged with rape following the incident but was cleared.
The doctor is also accused of groping a second patient and failing to adequately treat a cancer sufferer who later died.
Ms C told the Manchester hearing, sitting in Manchester, she met the doctor after visiting the Ince Green Lane surgery where he worked as a locum GP in May 2001.
She told the panel how she was driven to his house and asked to take off her clothes so he could examine her.
She said he got on top of her, adding "I was so numb and scared. I was petrified.
Life 'in ruins'
"I just remember pushing him off me."
She continued: "I thought to myself 'I'm going to die'.
"I thought to myself 'He's going to put a needle in me and I'm not going home'."
She said her life had been left in ruins since the attack and she had since lost her self-confidence.
