Pillion passenger killed in crash

A man was killed when the front wheel of the motorcycle he was riding pillion on fell off.

The two riders slid along Hoxton Street in Shoreditch, north London, hitting several pedestrians and a parked car in the early hours of Saturday.

The pillion rider, thought to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he later died. The driver is in a serious condition with leg injuries.

Two pedestrians have been treated for minor injuries, police have said.
