Trainee police officers arrested

Two trainee police officers have been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.

The two women are based at the Metropolitan Police training centre at Hendon in north London.

One of the women was taken to hospital on 1 November and later arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug.

The second woman was arrested on suspicion of supply. Both have been bailed pending further inquiries by police in Barnet.

It is understood no drugs were recovered but the officers have been removed from training while the investigation continues.
