Man dead after drive-by shooting

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was killed in a drive-by shooting in south London.

Police said the man was walking along Mitcham Road, West Croydon, with his brother on Wednesday night when he was shot at from a passing car.

He was taken to a south London hospital where he later died.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, has not formally been identified and an incident room has been opened at Lewisham police station.
