Three charged over cannabis haul

Three men have been charged over the seizure of cannabis with a street value estimated at nearly £20m.

The 4.6 tonnes of herbal cannabis was delivered to a building in Burnt Oak, Edgware, police said.

Christopher Hopkins, 29, of Newport, Shropshire, Abdirahman Khalib, 26, of Stanmore and Yasin Muse, 38, of Edgware, have been charged.

All three men will appear at Hendon Magistrates' Court charged with the importation of cannabis.

Two other men, aged 35 and 37, arrested on Wednesday, were bailed to return pending further inquiries.
