Judgement in a High Court challenge to the investigation into the police shooting of a lawyer has been reserved.
Mark Saunders, 32, died in May after a five-hour siege at his flat in Chelsea, west London.
His family want the police inquiry into the killing to be ruled unlawful because officers were allowed to confer before making statements.
On Monday, Mr Justice Underhill said he would give his ruling on the case in two or three weeks.
'No risk'
Mr Saunders' family claim the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) investigation broke human rights laws.
They also allege the IPCC failed to give sufficient information to them.
During the siege Mr Saunders fired at police officers, neighbours and buildings with a legally-owned shotgun from his £2.2 million home in Markham Square .
His family believe he posed "no risk to the public" when he was shot as the area had been evacuated.
