Woman murdered in stabbing attack

A woman has been stabbed to death in south-east London.

Officers discovered the victim, who was in her 30s, with a stab wound at an address in County Grove, Camberwell, in the early hours.

She was taken to nearby Kings College Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem examination was expected to take place on Monday. A man, aged 54, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a knife has been recovered.

It was found at the scene but police said it was too early to say if it had been used in the attack.

Officers said they knew the identity of the woman but were waiting to inform relatives before releasing her name.
