Boy in custody for fatal stabbing

Charles Junior Hendricks

A 16-year-old boy has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a teenager stabbed in east London.

Charles Junior Hendricks, 18, who was known as CJ, was found wounded near Selborne Road, Walthamstow, in the early hours of 24 August.

He was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital in nearby Leytonstone where he died from his injuries.

The charged teenager who cannot be named because of his age, is now due to appear at the Old Bailey on 8 December.

The youth appeared at Redbridge Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Police are continuing to question two boys aged 16 and 17 in connection with Mr Hendricks' death.

A 19-year-old man and another 16-year-old boy have been bailed until later in September.
