Teenager in court over stab death

A teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 14-year-old in south London.

David Idowu was attacked during a row in Great Dover Street in Borough, south London, on 19 June this year.

He died on 7 July at the Royal London Hospital having suffered stab wounds to his chest and stomach.

The 16-year-old youth, from Catford, south-east London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at the Old Bailey.

He was remanded in custody until 8 September when he will appear at the court to enter his plea.
