Youths stab man in group attack

A group of youths attacked a man in east London, inflicting multiple stab wounds, police have said.

The unnamed man, in his late 20s, was assaulted by the group in Cooke Street, Barking, on Thursday night.

He was taken to hospital suffering a number of stab wounds. His condition is said to be serious but not life-threatening.

The motive for the attack is unknown but police do not believe the man knew his attackers.
