Man in court over bakery killing

Jimmy Mizen

A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a teenager who died in a bakery shop.

Jake Fahri is accused of killing Jimmy Mizen in the Three Cooks store in Lee, south-east London, on 10 May.

Jimmy, who turned 16 a day before his death, suffered a fatal neck injury from a shard of glass while in the bakery with one of his brothers.

Mr Fahri, of Lee, appeared at Sutton Magistrates' Court and was remanded into custody.

Mr Fahri spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during the short hearing.

He will next appear in court at the Old Bailey on 21 August.
