Man in court over woman's murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman found in a north London flat.

Kayode Kuye, 44, who is unemployed and of no fixed address, was remanded in custody until a hearing at the Old Bailey in August.

The woman's body was found in a flat in Station Road, Finchley, after police arrested a man near Finchley Central station at about 0230 BST on Friday

The victim, believed to be in her 60s, has not yet been formally identified.
