Hunt after rapist flees hospital

Terrence O'Keefe A convicted rapist has escaped for the second time from the same south east London hospital, police said.

Terrence O'Keefe, 39, who is serving a life sentence for rape offences, fled on Friday afternoon while on a visit to King's College Hospital.

In 2005 he escaped from A&E at the same hospital and fled to Liverpool, where he is known to have connections.

Police said O'Keefe, who was being held at the secure Lambeth Hospital in south west London, is considered dangerous.

He is a light-skinned black man, last seen wearing a green fleece jumper, black jeans and tan-coloured boots.

There was a confirmed sighting of him at about 1500 GMT in Brixton, south London.

Police said he should not be approached.
