A teenager has been stabbed on an east London street.

The victim, described as being in his late teens, was found by police on Rectory Road, near Hackney Downs Park, in Hackney.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said officers were called to the area by members of the public on Sunday evening.

The victim has been taken to a hospital in east London where his condition is said to be serious but stable.
