Man stabbed to death 'after row'

Scene in Brixton where a man was stabbed to death A murder inquiry is under way after a man was stabbed to death following a row at a greengrocers in south London, police have said.

Officers were called to Atlantic Road, Brixton, at 1940 GMT on Saturday after reports that three men had been stabbed in a market place.

One man, believed to be in his mid-20s, died at the scene and two others were treated in hospital for face injuries.

It followed a row involving a group of men at a store shortly beforehand.

Police had little details of the suspects or victims, but said the row involved a group of black men and others of Middle Eastern appearance.

Atlantic Road and Popes Road were closed while a forensic examination was carried out.

Officers appealed for anyone who saw the incident, or a group of men running away from the area, to come forward.
