Police hunting for teenage gunmen

Etem Celebi Police investigating the shooting of a 17-year-old are searching for two teenage gunmen.

They believe Etem Celebi was approached by two suspects, in their teens or early 20s, who "both opened fire".

Etem died at the scene of the shooting in Clevedon Close on the Smalley Road Estate in Stoke Newington on 14 November.

No arrests have been made and officers said they were keeping an open mind regarding the motive.

Det Ch Insp Simon Moring said: "It would appear that two suspects approached Etem and both opened fire.

"These two are described as being aged in their teens or early twenties, of dual heritage, and were both wearing hooded tops.

"One is thought to be approximately 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall. The other is significantly smaller."

Celebi, from Stoke Newington, was the 23rd teenager to die in a knife or gun killing in London this year.
