Spamalot cast sets coconut record
The cast and creators of Monty Python musical Spamalot gathered in Trafalgar Square to set a new record for the world's largest coconut orchestra.
They led 5,567 people "clip-clopping" in time to the Python classic Always Look On The Bright Side of Life for the Guinness World Records (GWR) attempt.
GWR officials were due to hand a certificate to the cast confirming the record after Monday's performance.
The previous record of 1,789 was set in New York, US, last March.
Craig Glenday, editor in chief of GWR, who was at the event in central London on Monday evening, said: "They broke it by quite a sizable amount."
The record attempt coincided with St George's Day celebrations in the city.
