Anti-deportation campaigners have held a demonstration outside an immigration centre and called for an inquiry into the handling of protests by inmates.
Earlier this week detainees at Harmondsworth centre in west London started fires in a day of protests over living conditions.
A report by the Chief Inspector of Prisons had raised concerns about poor relations between staff and detainees.
The Home Office has refused to comment on the protests.
The campaigners demanded a public inquiry into why the Home office has failed to take action even after the report by the Chief Inspector of Prisons, which revealed that 60% of detainees at the centre felt unsafe.
They were also demanding action against officials for "recklessly endangering lives" while handling the unrest and asked the government to close down all asylum centres.
About 50 protesters participated in the two-hour long demonstration.
