Celebrity 'pets' in charity sale

Miniature models of the Queen's corgis Miniature models of celebrity pets - including the Queen's corgis and Paris Hilton's chihuahua - are going under the hammer in a charity auction.

Japanese artist Sinco created the tiny replicas using wool and hair from dogs at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

All funds raised from the sale on the eBay website on Wednesday will go to the rescue centre in south London.

Sinco said: "I love dogs and thought this would make a great Christmas present for dog owners."

The artist - whose real name is Nobuko Nagakubo - first started making the tiny models in 2003 with hair from her own dog.

Other celebrity pooches up for sale are Geri Halliwell's shih-tzu Harry, Zara Phillip's boxer, ex-Atomic Kitten singer Jenny Frost's dachshund and the Blue Peter labrador.
