Top conductor faces sex charges

One of Britain's top conductors has been charged with indecently assaulting a 16-year-old boy.

Robert King, 46, is also accused of indecently assaulting two other males over two years in the mid-1980s.

Mr King, of Redcliffe Gardens, west London, was released on bail by Ealing magistrates until 30 August.

He made his conducting debut at the BBC Proms in 1991 and is now regarded as one Britain's leading conductors of his generation, touring across the world.
