Police connect two bike assaults

Two suspected assaults in Lincoln which happened within minutes of each other are likely to be linked, police say.

Shortly after midnight a man reported being pushed over by two assailants near South Park Roundabout. The attackers then stole his bicycle.

Shortly after this, a second man reported being approached by two strangers on bicycles, who punched him and took his bag.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
