Man charged with stab murder bid

A man has been charged with attempted murder over the stabbing of a 59-year-old woman in Lincolnshire.

Carol Couch was stabbed several times at the Brandy Wharf Farm Caravan Site in Waddingham on Monday night. She is in a stable condition in hospital.

Paul Longdin, 26, of Northamptonshire, has been charged with attempted murder, robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

He has been remanded into police custody and is due to appear before magistrates in Lincoln on Monday.

Mrs Couch is from Keadby, near Scunthorpe.
