Man charged with rape and robbery

Police have charged a 23-year-old man in connection with a rape and robbery in Lincoln.

Detectives said the charges followed an incident in the Rosemary Lane area, off Monks Road, in the early hours of Saturday.

The man will appear at Lincoln District Magistrates' Court on Monday, a police spokesman said.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who was in the area between 0200 GMT and 0300 GMT on Saturday to contact them.
