Murder charge over woman's death

A 61-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of a woman found dead at a house in Lincolnshire.

Carol Cannom, 46, was pronounced dead by emergency teams at the property in Windsor Gardens in Long Sutton on Wednesday evening.

Malcolm Palmer, of the same address, appeared at Grantham Magistrates' Court earlier.

He will next appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday, 28 November.

Lincolnshire Police have not yet revealed how Ms Cannom died.
