Murder inquiry over woman's death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident at a house in Lincolnshire.

The emergency services were called to Windsor Gardens in Long Sutton near Spalding on Wednesday evening.

A 46-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a 61-year-old man was arrested and taken to Spalding Police Station for questioning.

It is not yet known how the woman died and a post-mortem examination will be held later.

The house is cordoned off and a forensic team will examine the property.
