Appeal after injured dog dumped

The RSPCA has appealed for information after a badly injured dog was dumped out of a car in Lincolnshire.

The light grey whippet was found earlier this week on Wash Road, Fosdyke, near Boston and was collected by a dog warden.

Witnesses said three youths stopped in a blue Ford Escort and left the dog in the road before driving away.

When examined, it was unable to stand and vets then found a spinal injury and had to put the animal to sleep.

The RSPCA said the treatment of the dog was inexcusable.
