One woman dead in bungalow blaze

Scene of fire

A woman has died in a fire at a house in Lincolnshire, police have said.

The blaze broke out on Thursday evening at a property in Willingham Road in Lea near Gainsborough.

The alarm was raised after neighbours reported hearing a loud bang. Three fire engines were called to the fire, a spokeswoman said.

The building was badly damaged and the woman's body was found inside. A fire investigation team is due to visit the scene which is still cordoned off.
