Police offer free film screenings

Police in Lincolnshire are showing free films this summer in a bid to keep teenagers off the streets.

Lincolnshire Police liaison officer Jo Toomey said the shows, which include the film St Trinian's, will be shown in Market Deeping and Sutton Bridge.

The scheme is being held during the school holidays which usually see an increase in complaints about anti-social behaviour.

The films will be held on several days in the afternoon at local cinemas.

Ms Toomey said: "The sessions will be free of charge and held right on the young people's doorsteps."

St Trinian's is a movie about the rescue of an infamous school for girls from a financial crisis.

Other free-film sessions were held in Bourne and Grantham in the summer of 2007.
